WHICH TRIPOD FOR PRONE position for leupold / swarovski spotting scope?

March 26, 2010 by

regular tripods are too tall for prone position.

The bottom of the spotting scope has a plate and I want one that has a receiver for the plate to just slide in to… I guess that is called the “head” of the tripod?

looking for a model name and number here, and maybe where you bought it from…

looking for a quality tripod, not a sony or some other crap name brand.

thanks!

I use a regular camera tripod for mine and also for my 35 mm slr camera much more adjustable than a scope tripod and many more to choose from
