How far(yard wise) would I easily be able to see where I hit the target with a 60 Power spotting scope?
If i were to use a .22

The 22 Lr is good on paper to say 150 yd. and if you are talking about a 22 mag or 223 then out farther towards 300 yds. I have a Nikon prostaff 18X48X65 and you can see clearly out past 400 yds. with the 22 it is limited to powder charge and falls pretty fast past 100yds. 60 power will be more than enough. Good luck
Ps try shoot and see targets they work well with small cal. shooting.
With optics, it’s actually not the power that matters as much as glass quality. I’ve used a Barska sat at 20X, with that you can barely make out the colors of arrow nocks at 100 yards, setting the power to 60X will not make things any better either as the image will get darker and the resolution is not good enough. One time I used a swarovski scope, set at 20X, with that I can clearly make out the colors, I can almost read the initials on the arrow, the clarity and resolution is magnificent. The size of the objective lens also plays a major factor in how high of a power you can go, a 60mm, I wouldn’t put the zoom past 40x, with an 80mm scope, 60X will be ok.
